Namespaces represent logical groupings of payment addresses issued by your organization. By creating and managing namespaces through the Paylias dashboard, you can provision, configure, and organize the identifiers your users rely on to send and receive payments across the Paylias network. Each namespace is tied to a unique domain, such as @acme or @globex, which serves as a branded extension for all aliases created under that namespace. Domains help clearly distinguish between different issuing entities and carry metadata that reflects your organization’s geography, brand identity, reward programs, and other operational characteristics. When you register a new namespace with Paylias, we will associate it with your organization and allocate it a unique token, which must be included in all subsequent API requests related to that namespace. This token ensures scoped access control and enables Paylias to route payment instructions, manage configurations, and enforce compliance rules specific to that namespace. If your platform supports multiple brands, products, or regional divisions, you can create distinct namespaces to reflect each one. This approach allows for tailored settings, including branding, user experiences, and transactional rules, while maintaining a clear audit trail across all issued payment addresses. Namespaces are foundational to how Paylias organizes and authorizes payments, and they act as the container for all aliases and transactional activity within your domain. Once set up, you can begin issuing aliases under the namespace, initiate transactions, and configure webhooks and policies specific to that namespace’s behavior.
